April 26, 2015 – Discover The Goodness

Discover The Goodness

We speak and study the truth that divinity is omnipresent and absolute goodness. To step into it as our reality happens step by step. Then we have an experience where we wonder “where is God in all of this?”

When she was about 20, Susan got a German Shepherd she named Kisha, and they became best buddies. Kisha was bright and learned quickly and Susan could take her anywhere. Susan and Kisha began to teach dog training. Kisha loved the dramatic parts like playing a dog showing her teeth about to bite. But Kisha got mouth cancer and the pain made that difficult. Still she remained enthusiastic. Eventually even running and playing were painful and Kisha slowed down, but her enthusiasm still remained. When Susan had to finally release Kisha from her life of pain, the dog seemed to know what it was all about, and still there was complete trust. Kisha reached out her paw to Susan’s arm. Susan couldn’t see God in all this. Then Susan herself developed a tumor in her mouth. Later, cancer free for two years, she saw how there had been amazing goodness and love in Kisha’s experience to teach her that it was all goodness.

It is hard to see that goodness. Rumi wrote, “you dwell in this hall of images and illusion… Leave this house now and be silent.” We get caught up in what our brain sees as valid. The brain does not see the absolute goodness. So leave this “house”, this right/wrong, this duality. Say “God is Good All The Time!” Keep the mind silent. When we are able to take a hold of the divine goodness, the mind stills. Breathe that feeling. Be conscious of it. Breathe the goodness. The nature of the divine is wholeness. Our challenge is to step into it. Breathe goodness. “The light enters the darkness and fills all… You will have the Lord for an everlasting light… Greater than the day (sun) or the night (moon).” The Quran: “God is the light of the heavens and earth…like a …lamp within a crystal… Light upon light.”

The farther we go within we enter into light. That radiance within, the light of the heavens, the goodness within ourselves opening to infinite levels of expression. The wholeness is already given. Opening to this goodness we don’t know the form but are open to all possibilities, to infinite means of expression. It doesn’t mean there are no challenges. When we get to that place — It won’t work. I’m no good – God Is Good All The Time! God Is Good All The Time! All The Time God Is Good! When it really looks impossible, God is there. Take control of the mind. Let it be silent. Open. Breathe the goodness into your heart. That goodness is who you really are!

April 14, 2013 – From Complaint to Wisdom in Three Breaths

4/14/13 Rev. David McArthur
From Complaint To Wisdom In 3 Breaths

In Unity, we know we’re the ones that create our lives, so when there is something in our lives to complain about, we can’t blame it on the devil! Since thoughts in mind produce after their kind, we have to ask at such a time, “Where is our focus? What are we affirming in our thoughts and in our lives?”

We might think we’ve figured out where God blew it, and feel smart and that we’re right. (I used to like feeling smarter than “them”, but not any more.) Now, when we see we are complaining more, we are uncomfortable with that. We know God is good all the time, so how do we shift away from complaining and having things to complain about?

Jesus said, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life… Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them… Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? …[S]eek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you…” These teachings show up in all faiths. Lao Tsu said, “Watch the turmoil of beings, but contemplate their return…to the common source. [T]he source is serenity… When you realize where you come from, you naturally become tolerant, disinterested, amused, kindhearted as a grandmother, dignified as a king. Immersed in the wonder of the Tao, you can deal with whatever life brings you…”

Bring to mind a recent major complaint. To shift quickly, try taking 3 breaths. The first is the Heart Breath. The heart is the doorway to the deep expression of Spirit. Second is the Hug Breath. Breath it in—grandma hugs, mommy hugs, little ones hugs—so marvelous. Remember one; breath it in. Third is the Wisdom Breath. Breath in the wise place in you. You have been there. You understand how to take care that is wise. Open. Receive the beautiful spiritual power we work with. That infinite intelligence is there to guide you. It is you. It is ready to lead you with beauty. Not one other person has any more wisdom than you. Take that Wisdom Breath. We have walked to that knowing place where you know how this can unfold for you. In that moment thoughts in mind produce after their kind. Life and wisdom center in you. You are in the Tao, the Kingdom. It is simple; it is the love you are. Being that wisdom is who you are!

March 25, 2012 – When Things Get Tough…Breathe

3/25/12 Rev. Sheila Gautreaux

Everyday breathing is not consciously thought of. However, there is so much power in the breath when we do think about it.

In the book of Genesis, when the Creator made the most complex creation—human kind—He breathed into it the “breath of life”. And after His resurrection, Jesus stood among His disciples and “Then He breathed on them and said, ‘receive ye the Holy Spirit.’” (John 20-22) It inspired them and gave them the ability to go forth and create. Charles Fillmore said that the inflow of the breath corresponds to the in-spiration of the spiritual life.
In Messages from the Body, Michael J. Lincoln says when people have trouble breathing, it is a longing for mother love. The Holy Spirit is the Divine Feminine. Breath in and be comforted by the Divine Mother. Connect with your Momma—breath in consciously that comfort you desire—the Mother Love which is right there. It is breathing you. Rest in the breath of God and be sure all is well.

When feeling lack, limitation, or financial trouble, stop and breathe. Take in Divine Inspiration. For health challenges it can restore the cells and make you well. Whatever the condition of your life. Why sit there and be freaked out? Breathe. Why let your power be taken away? Breathe and call upon the Holy Spirit. “Come Holy Spirit.” Let the Divine Mother comfort you. Feel something happening in your body. “Breathe in me, breath of God!” Breathe away all unforgiveness, resentment, anxiety. “Breathe in me, breath of God!” The breath of God is breathing you; know all is well.

Conscious  awareness of the breath is key—to peace, freedom, wellness, prosperity. Every goodness is available to you through conscious breathing. Whatever the challenge, all healing is available to you. Breathe!
